The idea for Doggie Diapers and Belly Bands came after having
my carpets cleaned twice in two months. Winslow is the most perfect miniature Yorkshire Terrier. We loved him
so much that we thought he needed a friend. I was teaching full time then and he was lonely. So we got Picalena
and our troubles began. Winslow loved her at first sight, the first thing he did when he saw her was lick her eyes,
something he does every time he gets a chance. Winslow, Picalena, and Bear (our 100pound black lab) go outside together
and water every bush and tree in the yard. but as soon as Picalena comes into the house she goes on the carpet.
My family
was at wits end. We went shopping for help and found a product that was for dogs in heat but Picalena would not wear
it because it was too rough.
My husband tactfully reminded me, that as a QUILTER, I have plenty of fabric in my stash.
And that's how DOGGIE DIAPERS and BELLY BANDS came to be.
