diagnosed with Alzheimer's seven years ago. The tragedy of Alzheimer's is that it takes the ones we love away from
us in so many ways. In the span of three months my mom went from living on her own to being confined in an assisted
living facility. She asks every day when she will be able to go home. The truth is she will never be able to go
home. Within two months of her confinement she had to be moved to the Alzheimer's Unit because she needs 24 hour supervision.
Her home is not set up to accomodate her needs. If you feel your love one is suffering from any of the
symptoms of Alzheimer's start collecting as much information about the person as you can. There is help out there to
pay for some of the expense you will encounter but you need evidence to support need. The Veterans Association
is a great source of help .
